Terms & Conditions: The following describes the terms that apply to participation in the Baselane Promotional Program (“Program”) offered by Skylight Financial Services, Inc. (“Baselane”).
This Program is offered solely by Baselane and not by any named merchant or any other third party.
Eligible Participants: Baselane users who have not previously funded a Baselane Banking checking account are eligible. Baselane users must open a Baselane Banking checking account to receive the payout. Participants can only participate in the offer once.
Eligibility Requirements: You can only receive this bonus once, regardless of the number of accounts you open and you must not be eligible for another Program. Unless specified in the terms of another Program, this Program cannot be combined or stacked with other Programs, offers or promotions. If you are eligible for more than one Program, Baselane has sole discretion which bonus is provided to the customer.
You must:
Use an approved Baselane partner referral link provided (only partners that make this offer are eligible, and they will offer you the link). You must also be on partner's list of referred users which will be supplied back to Baselane on a regular basis.
Have or open a new Baselane banking checking account (accounts are subject to approval),
Deposit a minimum of $100 across your Baselane banking checking accounts within 60 days of account creation.
After you have completed all the above requirements, we will start to calculate your interest owing against the combined balances in all your savings accounts from the first day of deposit against our highest APY2 rate which is currently [v="apyvalue"]. APY rate is variable and subject to change after account opening. Balances in chequing accounts are not included in this calculation and are not eligible for interest.
Your promotional period consists of six promotional months, defined as follows: the calendar month in which your first qualifying deposit is made (prorated from the date of first deposit through the end of that month) counts as your first promotional month, followed by five consecutive full calendar months. For example, if your first qualifying deposit is made on January 15th, your first promotional month covers January 15th through January 31st, and your remaining five promotional months cover February through June in full.
After each promotional month, you will be eligible for a bonus payment that will be comprised of your interest owing against the combined balances in all your savings accounts at the highest APY2 rate minus any other interest you have already earned from Baselane (including interest you have already earned on the same savings balances at a lower interest rate tier). The bonus payment will be deposited into your Baselane banking checking account within 30 days of the end of the applicable promotional month on a best effort basis.
For any promotional months in which you are already on our highest APY2 rate due to your combined balances meeting the highest tier balance threshold, you will not receive an additional bonus payment given the differential in the rate is zero.
Payment processing delays may occur for Baselane resulting in bonuses being deposited later than 30 days. Baselane does not provide additional money/bonus to make up for processing delays. The offer is good for one-time use. Baselane reserves the right to withdraw this offer at any time without notice. You are responsible for determining the tax incidence of any bonuses received under this program and acknowledge that such bonuses may be reported on IRS Form 1099 INT (or Form 1042 S, if applicable).
Baselane is not liable for payment delays caused by named merchants or any third-party vendors. Baselane reserves the right to exclude any users from participating in the Program for any reason, including suspected fraud, misuse, or if suspicious activities are observed, including without limitation, in the case of payments to and from the same individual or entity, payments between relatives or close associates, and other actions inconsistent with a bona fide landlord/tenant relationship. Baselane also reserves the right to stop or make changes to the Program at any time. Baselane values your privacy and the security of your personal information, so please do not include your Social Security number in any email or letter that you send to us.
